16-25, living in Dudley and want support to make positive changes in your life? We can help!
JST works with partner agencies to provide support to 16 - 25-year-olds who live within the Dudley borough. This project collaborates with Dudley MBC, CHADD, YMCA, Top Church Training, and Green Square Accord. The Dudley Young Person’s Alliance has been specifically designed with young people in mind and offers non-judgemental and practical advice and guidance. JST will look to provide help to sustain and improve accommodation situations. Support will be given to set up and maintain priority bills as well as assistance with other complex situations.
Other areas where support could be offered include dealing with self-destructive habits and behaviours and relationships, setting up tenancy agreements and understanding benefits. Also, boundaries, positive relationships and social networks. With The Dudley Young Person’s Alliance, JST’s team will offer support with employability, working towards training and education opportunities, and employment goals. Many young people find that this project has assisted them when dealing with complex issues.
By being offered impartial advice, encouragement and assistance, they have improved their confidence and self-esteem along with increasing their mental well-being. This support project has helped participants identify and reach positive life goals. Please note: the priority on this project is given to care leavers and young people currently experiencing homelessness.
